What is the alternative protein project?
We are a coalition of four Canadian university chapters at the University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, McMaster University and University of Manitoba. We are supported by the Good Food Institute - a global nonprofit working to accelerate the development of plant-based, cultivated and fermentation-derived alternatives to conventional meat, eggs and dairy. We aim to contribute to a sustainable Canadian food system by creating a community for alternative protein education, research and innovation on our campuses.
